Tigers will travel to face VakıfBank in the Vodafone Sultanlar League play-off semi-final second leg, aiming to extend the series. After hosting VakıfBank in the first match, the orange and white side completed their preparations for the return leg with a single training session.

Head Coach Giulio Bregoli: “It’s about playing the right game at the right moments”

Tigers Head Coach Giulio Bregoli evaluated the first play-off match:

“We are honestly disappointed with the result. Especially considering the atmosphere, organization, and level of support, we would have liked to respond better on the court. That said, we congratulate VakıfBank. They played very well and performed at a high level throughout the match.

From the outside, it may have seemed like the team did not fight enough. However, that was not the reality on the court. The team fought and showed desire, but we were unable to produce the right solutions at critical moments. That is the key difference. It’s not about effort, but about executing the right plays at the right time.”

“We focus on the process and improvement”

Speaking about the second leg, Bregoli added:

“Since the beginning of the season, our approach has been clear: to focus not only on results but also on the process and development. Matches like this are part of that journey. They show us more clearly the level we need to reach and highlight our areas for improvement. We move forward by learning from this process. Now we understand the required level better and aim to get closer to it in the next match.”
