Before the match, Emir Turam, a respected figure in the sports world who wore the Eczacıbaşı jersey between 1978–80 and 1983–89 and holds a special place in the club’s history, was presented with flowers by Eczacıbaşı Sports Club.
The match began with the visiting team taking the early advantage in the first set. Tigers managed to level the score during Meliha’s serving run, and although the home side briefly took the lead midway through the set, the game continued with intense rallies. Despite their efforts to stay in the set, Tigers eventually lost the opener 25–23.
In the second set, momentum shifted frequently. While the visiting side kept the pressure on, Tigers built an effective attacking rhythm. In a highly competitive set, the home side secured a 25–22 victory, leveling the match. Kathryn Boden stood out with six points in the set.
The third set also started with fierce competition. Toward the final moments of the set, Tigers disrupted their opponent’s momentum with aggressive play and opened a four-point lead. However, Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor fought back, equalized the score, and claimed the set 26–24 to take the lead once again.
Tigers began the fourth set strongly, with Bengisu scoring consecutive aces. The home team quickly established a five-point advantage and took control of the momentum. With an effective offensive organization, Tigers won the set 25–19, sending the match into the deciding fifth set.
The tie-break set also started with Tigers in control. Although the Aydın side occasionally took the lead, Tigers managed to stay ahead at the court switch. Maintaining their composure and intensity, Tigers won the set 15–11, securing a 3–2 victory.
