Vodafone Sultanlar League Play-Off 3rd Place Series – Game 1

Eczacıbaşı Sports Hall
Broadcast: TRT Spor Yıldız
After finishing the Vodafone Sultanlar League regular season in fourth place, Tigers are set to take the court in the 3rd place play-off series. The orange and white side will host Zeren Spor in the first match and will play the second leg away on April 11. Tigers aim to take control of the series early and secure a crucial win.
Continuing their preparations at full pace, Tigers completed the day with a single training session.
Tigers captain Simge Aköz shared her thoughts ahead of the match:
“Since the beginning of the season, our goal has always been to be a team that shows itself through its fight and performance on the court. I believe we reflected our energy and determination in the semi-final as well. Even though the result was not what we wanted, we know how strong VakıfBank is. The matches were highly competitive and enjoyable to watch. Of course, we wanted to win, but this time it was not enough.
The season is not over yet. We still have the third-place series ahead, and we will step onto the court with the same determination. We want to show our strength and character and complete this process in the best possible way. At the same time, continuing our journey with high morale ahead of the Champions League Final Four is very important for us.”
