In Week 22 of the Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit traveled to face Zeren Spor away from home and were defeated 3–2 with set scores of 22–25, 25–27, 25–16, 29–27, and 13–15.
After Eczacıbaşı Dynavit opened the first set with a 3–0 run, Zeren Spor came back to take a 4–3 lead. In the early stages of the set, which featured back-and-forth rallies, the advantage changed hands frequently thanks to the visitors’ effective attacking organization. The orange-and-whites managed to take the lead with an ace by Dana Rettke, but their effort was not enough and they lost the set 25–22.
Eczacıbaşı Dynavit started the second set strongly, taking control early and not allowing their opponent to move ahead. However, Zeren Spor stayed competitive and went up 15–14. In another closely contested set where the lead kept changing, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit found important contributions in attack. In the final moments of the set, the home team saved two set points and won 27–25 to make it 2–0.
Starting the third set with Elif and Maglio, the visitors built a lead of up to seven points midway through the set, finding crucial points from their middle blockers. With effective attacks from Magdalena Stysiak, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit quickly gained momentum. Disrupting their opponent’s concentration, the orange-and-whites dominated the set and won it convincingly 25–16, narrowing the gap to 2–1.
The fourth set also began with consecutive points. The visitors established effective offensive organization and extended the lead to three points. As the set progressed, the competition intensified and the lead kept changing. In a thrilling finish featuring long rallies, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit refused to give up. The orange-and-whites saved six match points and won the set 29–27 to level the match.
In the deciding set, the visitors scored two points during Ebrar’s service run and switched sides in the lead. In the second half of the set, however, Zeren Spor moved ahead. Eczacıbaşı Dynavit lost the set 15–13 and the match 3–2.
With 23 points, Ebrar Karakurt was the top scorer for the orange-and-whites. Eczacıbaşı Dynavit recorded a total of 13 blocks and 5 aces.
